The Blood Reign II (A Reprisal)
Elders whisper of a reign But we have only known shame Elders call for the rain Dye the river water red in vain Tell us about the shower that washed away our stains Tell us about the power that cleansed the land for our gain Tell us about that Gaping Maw that opened in the crust of the earth How it filled with blood from on high saving children of First Birth Tell us about the ghouls and how they fled in terror Tell us about your souls and how you were freed from fetters What about that throne jutted out between the clouds When sapphire shone and His blood rained down Elders speak of the shimmer of that sapphire floor Never once about our Lord now knocking at our door Elders boast about the rivers running red with blood Never once about how there are no more signs of a flood Where is the reign? Did not His throne come then? He is the rain. Was not the Holy veil rent? He was. He is. He is to come. You prayed for a blood rain and so it came He gave you a Blood Reign and then you faint Oh Father, Send that Holy Storm once more We prostate ourselves before you For our own lives we do not adore We wait for you on the western shore Take us back to the beginning when your winds caught our sails back when your love was easy when we knew with you we could not fail Ancient of Days, On the horizon, we see your storm coming Across the seas, your Reign comes toward the East That Holy Storm raging and your blood raining In the midst of those hot coals, stands The Prince of Peace Blazing and burning, a rain of fire comes down The Hands of God crackling, adorning heaven's crown With thunderous applause, the waves pound the shore The Fear of the Lord overwhelming, impossible to ignore Here comes The Blood Reign Will you choose not to faint?
